Second Post - Questions for the client

Second Post:

Questions for the client

  1. Are there any particular colours you would prefer not to use?
  2. What is your budget for this project?
  3. Would you like to include the industrial pipework and timber beams in the design?
  4. Are the high ceilings to remain or be replaced with lower false ceiling?
  5. Is the concrete floor to remain or be replaced, for example with tiles?

First Post - Summary of Brief

First Post:
Summary of Brief

·         Café small bar - inner city Melbourne close to Arts & Fashion precinct with 3 separate but connected rooms

·         Provide a suitable colour scheme retro feel; specifically the 80s

·         No natural light sources – use a variety of light sources and colour to open up the dark, separate spaces.

·         Rendered concrete walls, industrial pipework visible, exposed raw timber beams in high ceilings and polished concrete floor.

·         Place is to feel lively, fun, and vibrant.

·         Fire safety signs and fire extinguishers must remain fully visible to customers at all times.
  • Create a simple private blog to record creative process.   Visual and written material for the Café’s Facebook page to build public interest before the launch date.
